Rhode Island Prevailing Wage Seminar

Rhode Island Prevailing Wage Seminar
The Rhode Island General Assembly amended the state’s prevailing wage law (R.I. Gen Laws, § 37-13-7). That amendment included changes to fringe benefit compliance, which states that fringe benefits can no longer be paid as a “cash benefit” for contractors who work more than 90 days on a project, and that Bona fide fringe benefits must be provided to meet prevailing wage requirements. So what does that mean for your construction company?
If you currently work on prevailing wage projects in Rhode Island or are considering bidding on projects in Rhode Island, it’s imperative that you know about these changes and prepare to comply in order to avoid civil penalties between $1,000 and $3,000 per violation. That’s why Beneco is offering a special free breakfast seminar that provides information on the latest updates and explains what bona fide fringe benefits you can use to avoid penalties and save your company money.
