Every three years, the construction industry flocks to Las Vegas for the CONEXPO-CON/AGG tradeshow to check out the latest in heavy equipment and construction technologies, network with industry professionals, and take in some of the event’s educational seminars. This year was no exception — at CONEXPO–CON/AGG, we learned so much about what’s happening in the construction industry. Let’s dive into some of those insights.

CONEXPO SHOW ATTENDANCE

The event surpassed expected attendance numbers, bringing in over 139,000 construction professionals from 133 countries, making it the largest trade show in North America, featuring 2,400 exhibitors and over 3 million square feet of exhibit space.

ADOPTING NEW TECHNOLOGIES

The expo highlighted the latest technological advances that could help construction owners streamline their operations. From autonomous vehicles to electric and hydrogen-powered construction equipment, countless innovations were on display at the event that could make life easier for those in the industry. Another trend we noticed at this year’s show was a focus on sustainability. In fact, CONEXPO-CON/AGG has a direct partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, pledging to plant one tree for every show registrant — and this year, that’s 139,000+ trees going to a forest in greatest need.
